dezful, the capital of resistance of iran

dezful a city at the far north of khuzestan on the southwest of the great iran is considered as an agriculture pole. this city as one of the iranian ancient cities was under hostile attacks of the iraqi ba’athist enemy throughout the holy defense era from 1980 to 1988 and during the five stages of the war of cities, in particular. so, in most of the enemy aerial and ground attacks against 127 iranian cities, dezful was on the top of the cities under enemy attacks both in terms of volume and number of attacks.the enemy's use of various weapons (including artillery, aerial and missile) against the defenseless people of dezful compared to the other iranian cities was an obvious distinct and of course surprising and questionable action. in this article, the role of resistance of dezful on the eve of the iraqi army invasion of iran and particularly in various stages of the “war of cities” is studied.
